The European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) has added two substances to the Candidate List of Substances of Very High Concern:
- Diphenyl(2,4,6-trimethylbenzoyl)phosphine oxide
- Bis(4-chlorophenyl) sulfone
Diphenyl(2,4,6-trimethylbenzoyl)phosphine oxide is toxic for reproduction and Bis(4-chlorophenyl) sulphone has very persistent and very bioaccumulative hazardous properties. They are used, for example, in inks and toners and in the production of plastic products.
