United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime releases 2022 World Drug Report

The World Drug Report was published by UNODC yesterday.

This year's report explores the legalisation of cannabis and the impacts of drugs on our environment.

We've rounded up some of the key points below.

  • Nearly 90% of the cocaine seized around the world in 2021 was trafficked in containers and / or by sea.
  • Annual cannabis use amongst youth aged 15-16 is 1.7 percentage points higher than amongst those aged 15-64.
  • 284 million people aged 15-64 used drugs in the past 12 months worldwide.
